Spring 2026

Recap: WALDWÄRTS

WALDWÄRTS Spring 2026 brought modern forestry technology straight to where it is used: the forest. The series of events organised by the companies POSCH, Pfanzelt and Eschlböck once again opted for hands-on demonstrations rather than exhibition halls, enabling visitors to experience the machines under real-world conditions and test them for themselves.

Technology in action

The focus was on practical demonstrations covering the entire timber supply chain:

  • Off-road timber hauling and transport
  • Wood chopping and biomass processing
  • Firewood processing and log splitting
  • Test runs and direct machine comparisons
  • Technical discussions with manufacturers and experts on site

The demonstrations of the Moritz forestry crawler, the Pm Trac, various skidding trailers, the high-performance Biber wood chippers and the POSCH firewood processors attracted particular interest.

What makes WALDWÄRTS special

WALDWÄRTS consistently adheres to the principle ‘’ – ‘Out of the exhibition hall – into the forest’. Visitors experience the machinery not on static exhibition stands, but under real-world operating conditions. This provides authentic insights, opportunities for direct comparison and in-depth discussions between users, manufacturers and experts.

Assessments and Outlook

Opinions and Conclusion

Following the success of previous tours, the spring 2026 edition once again confirmed the need for practical event formats. The concept combines technology, the sharing of experiences and a hands-on product experience in a unique way, and has been a hit with both forestry professionals and private forest owners.

We are already looking forward to announcing the next instalment in autumn 2026!

In short: At WALDWÄRTS Spring 2026, modern forestry technology was showcased exactly where it needs to prove its worth – right in the heart of the forest. With five tour stops, live demonstrations, test drives and direct dialogue, the series of events lived up to its promise: Hands-on forestry technology.
