Contact forms
You can contact us via the ‘Catalogue Request’, ‘Careers’ pages, as well as via the ‘Contact’, ‘Product Inquiry’ and ‘Product Advice Inquiry’ buttons. Personal data are stored, processed and used in the scope authorised by you. This is done in order to send you the catalogues you have requested, to process your application or your product inquiry.
Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent! This does not apply to the transfer of data to Posch’s service partners, which we require in order to process your enquiry (e.g. for the postal dispatch of a requested catalogue). There will be no separate notification for storage or transmission. The scope of data transmission is limited to a minimum.
Google Analytics
On our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”), to improve efficiency. Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, which are text files stored on your computer that are used to enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In order to safeguard users’ interests in the protection of their personal data, this is achieved by anonymising the data. Your IP address is already transmitted to Google in an unrecognisable form (= anonymised).
You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting the settings in your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that, in this case, you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of this website. You can find further information on this in our Legal Notice.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address), and from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
This website also applies cookies for the purpose of targeting visitors with online adverts at a later date via remarketing campaigns within the Google advertising network. The application of cookies by third-party providers such as Google is based on a visit to our website. As a user, you can disable the application of cookies by Google by visiting this page to disable Google at www.google.com/ads/preferences
The following data is collected as part of the registration process:
- The user’s encrypted IP address
- Date and time of access
- Frequency of page views
- Use of website functions
- The user’s operating system
- The user’s internet service provider
- Date and time of access
- Websites from which the user’s system accesses our website
- Websites accessed by the user’s system via our website
- Operating systems used on end devices
- Age, gender, languages, interests, country of origin
You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings in your browser software; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
Application of Google’s remarketing or ‘Similar Audiences’ feature
We apply the remarketing or ‘Similar Audiences’ feature provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’) on this website. This feature enables us to target website visitors with advertising by displaying personalised, interest-based adverts to them when they visit other websites on the Google Display Network. Google uses so-called cookies to analyse website usage, which forms the basis for the creation of interest-based adverts. To this end, Google stores a small file containing a sequence of numbers in the browsers of visitors to the website. This number is used to track visits to the website and to collect anonymised data on how the website is used. No personal data relating to visitors to the website is stored. If you subsequently visit another website on the Google Display Network, you will be shown adverts that are highly likely to be based on the products and information sections you have previously viewed. You can permanently disable the application of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Alternatively, you can disable the application of third-party cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page at https://thenai.org/how-to-opt-out/ and following the further information on opting out provided there. Further information on Google Remarketing and Google’s privacy policy can be found at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
MailChimp
Our email newsletter keeps you up to date with new products, changes to standards, trends in firewood processing and product information. Via the menu item ‘Newsletter subscription’ or the link ‘Partner NewsMail’ you can subscribe to the newsletter. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you have provided, and once you have confirmed this, you will be subscribed to the newsletter.
The following information explains the content of our newsletter, as well as the subscription, shipment and statistical analysis procedures, and your rights to object. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the procedures described.
Newsletter content: We send out newsletters, emails and other electronic communications containing promotional information (hereinafter referred to as ‘newsletters’) only with the recipients’ consent or where permitted by law. Where the content of a newsletter is specifically described as part of the subscription process, this content forms the basis for the user’s consent. In addition, our newsletters contain information on the latest developments in the firewood processing industry, in particular regarding new products – or changes to our existing range – new videos, amendments to safety standards, and events such as trade fairs.
Login details: To subscribe to the newsletter, simply enter your email address. Optional we would like to ask you to provide your first name and surname, as well as your sector and country. We use this information solely to tailor the content of the newsletter to our readers’ interests. For catalogue enquiries to be sent by post, please also provide your postal address (this is not required if you wish to receive the catalogue by email). As our sales territory is divided geographically amongst regional representatives, you will need to provide your postcode (ZIP CODE) or your location when making a product inquiry. This information will, of course, be treated as confidential and will only be passed on to our partner at the relevant location in the event of a business relationship (see the ‘Contact form’ section).
Double opt-in and logging: Subscription to our newsletter is carried out using a ‘double opt-in’ procedure. This means that, once you have registered, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to ensure that no one can sign up using someone else’s email address.
Newsletter subscriptions are logged so that we can provide evidence of the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the time of login and confirmation, as well as the IP address. Any changes to your data stored with MailChimp are also logged.
Use of the mailing service provider ‘MailChimp’: The newsletters are shipped via ‘MailChimp’, a newsletter distribution platform operated by the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
The email addresses of our newsletter subscribers, as well as any other data described in this notice, are stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA. MailChimp applies this information to the shipment and analysis of the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, MailChimp may use this data to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimisation of the shipment and presentation of newsletters, or for commercial purposes, to determine which countries the recipients are from. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter subscribers to contact them directly or to pass it on to third parties.
We have confidence in MailChimp’s reliability and its IT and data security. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU ‘Privacy Shield’ data protection agreement and is therefore committed to complying with EU data protection regulations. Furthermore, we have entered into a ‘Data Processing Agreement’ with MailChimp. This is a contract under which MailChimp undertakes to protect our users’ data, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its privacy policy and, in particular, not to disclose it to third parties. You can view MailChimp’s privacy policy here: .
Statistical surveys and analyses: The newsletters contain what is known as a ‘web beacon’, i.e. a file the size of a single pixel, which is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. When you access this page, technical information – such as details about your browser and operating system – as well as your IP address and the time of access, is collected. This information is used to improve the services technically, based on technical data or on the target groups and their reading behaviour, as determined by their location (which can be identified using their IP address) or the times at which they access the site. The statistical data collected also includes information on whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be linked to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is not our intention, nor that of MailChimp, to monitor individual users. The analyses are used much more to identify our users’ reading habits and tailor our content to them, or to send different content based on our users’ interests.
Online access and data management: There are instances where we redirect newsletter subscribers to MailChimp’s websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link that allows subscribers to view the newsletter online (e.g. in the event of display issues in various email programmes). Furthermore, newsletter subscribers can correct their details, such as their email address, at a later date. Similarly, the Privacy Policy is only available on MailChimp’s website. In this context, we would like to point out that cookies are used on MailChimp’s websites and that personal data is therefore processed by MailChimp, its partners and the service providers it uses (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no control over this data collection. For further information, please refer to the Privacy Policy from MailChimp. We would also like to draw your attention to the options for objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and https://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European Union).
Termination/Withdrawal: You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. This will simultaneously revoke your consent for the newsletter shipment via MailChimp and for the statistical analyses. Unfortunately, it is not possible to opt out of shipments sent via MailChimp or statistical analysis separately. You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. The cancellation must be received by POSCH Gesellschaft m.b.H. in order to take effect. There are no costs involved other than the transmission costs. You will find the contact details for unsubscribing in the legal notice. Unsubscribing will result in your email address being deleted.
Legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation: In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which came into force on 25 May 2018, we hereby inform you that consent for the shipment of email addresses is given on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) and Article 7 of the GDPR, as well as Section 7(2)(3) and Section 7(3) of the Unfair Commercial Practices Act (UWG). The use of the email marketing service provider MailChimp, the carrying out of statistical surveys and analyses, and the logging of the registration process are based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Our focus is on using a user-friendly and safe newsletter system that both serves our business interests and meets users’ expectations.
We would also like to point out that, in accordance with the legal requirements set out in Article 21 of the GDPR, you may object at any time to the future processing of your personal data. In particular, the objection may be raised against processing for the purposes of direct marketing.
Disclosure, correction, blocking and deleting of data
You have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you and to have them corrected or deleted. To do so, please contact us by email at: datenschutz@posch.com
