Please start by checking the power supply, fuses and all the plug connections on your machine. You should also check whether the emergency stop switch has been activated or whether any safety devices have been triggered . If you own a machine that runs on fuel , check how much is left in the tank.
If the machine still does not operate correctly, please contact your local representative or the dealer from whom you purchased your POSCH machine.

Please note that these services are provided exclusively through our authorised dealers and are not offered at the production plant (Leibnitz) or at the branch office (Velden / Vils).

Each machine is custom-built for you once the order has been received. Delivery times therefore depend on the specific product and current workload. We guarantee a 20-year supply of spare parts for our POSCH machines! To order spare parts, we will need your machine’s serial number so that we can identify the correct parts. Please use the spare parts section on our website or contact your specialist dealer directly.
In Austria and Germany , spare parts can also be ordered directly from POSCH. This is subject to payment in advance. For further information or to place an order directly, please feel free to contact us personally.

What type of hydraulic oil should I use in my machine (for an oil change or top-up)?
What type of hydraulic oil should I use in my machine (for an oil change or top-up)?
For the majority of our POSCH machines, we recommend the application of HLP 46 hydraulic oil. Machines with tubular tanks, on the other hand, require HLP 10 hydraulic oil. As you can see, there are differences! Therefore, the following applies: Please refer to the relevant operating instructions for information specific to your machine.
Is it possible to buy a replacement tip for the POSCH Maxi (wood drill bit) or have it sharpened?
Is it possible to buy a replacement tip for the POSCH Maxi (wood drill bit) or have it sharpened?
Even after 40 years, suitable wire tips for our wood drill bits are still available! Please contact us via WhatsApp on +43 681 20466 560 or at service@posch.com.
We offer re-sharpening for drill bits with a minimum total length of 180 mm.

Why is there no longer a short-log table available for the HydroCombi?
The Kurzholz table for the HydroCombi is no longer available, as the current legal requirements regarding safety and ergonomics are constantly evolving. In order to comply with current regulations and safety standards, the machine design has been adapted accordingly. The focus here is on ensuring that users can work safely, ergonomically and in accordance with standards. Consequently, the short-log table is no longer available for the HydroCombi.
The Ferdinand was developed precisely to meet these requirements: It complies with current statutory safety standards and places particular emphasis on ergonomic, back-friendly working.

Why aren’t there any split crosses any more?
Put simply: The log splitter is no longer available, to prevent any trunks or pieces of wood from falling on the user! This change improves safety at work and meets current safety requirements.

Why are foot controls no longer available for SpaltAxten 6/8/10?
The foot control for the SpaltAxt 6/8/10 has not been available since 1995, as it was withdrawn from the range due to changes in safety requirements and applicable standards . The current models are operated exclusively using the designated two-hand control system to ensure the highest possible level of safety at work.

Why doesn't the HydroCombi have a one-hand control anymore?
The single-hand control is no longer available on the HydroCombi in order to comply with current safety requirements. Thanks to the two-handed operation, both of the user’s hands are in a safe position outside the danger zone during the splitting process. This significantly reduces the risk of injury and ensures safety during work. To put it simply: The two-hand control system keeps your hands where they should be – away from the splitting area.
