Efficient Conveyor Technology

The sturdy conveyor belt frame with its generously sized trough ensures the smooth, jam-free transport of the logs. The 550 mm wide, centre-aligned conveyor belt consists of interchangeable individual segments and is equipped with robust metal feed rollers, which ensure the logs are conveyed safely and evenly. Scraper strips effectively protect the drive drum from dirt. Depending on the model, the drive drum is driven by either an electric motor or a hydraulic motor via a robust dog clutch and is mounted in durable cast housing bearings. Positioning the drive at the upper end of the conveyor belt ensures optimum power transmission from the ball-bearing-mounted drive drum to the conveyor belt. This ensures a constant flow of material whilst maintaining a high level of operational reliability. Lubricating the cast housing bearings and tensioning the conveyor belt are simple tasks that can be carried out without removing any protective covers. Fabric flaps in the transition area prevent small pieces of wood from slipping through and minimise the risk of blockages.

Sub-frame: Sturdy yet flexible

The sub-frame forms the sturdy base of the side conveyor belt. This is rotatable, mounted on a swivel base that can be secured to the floor, and thus allows the conveyor belt to be positioned flexibly. Both the conveyor frame and the supports for the mechanical tilt adjustment – or the cylinders for the hydraulic tilt adjustment – are mounted on rotatable bearings on the sub-frame. The wheels for mechanical or hydraulic steering are also attached to it, which allows for easy alignment and adjustment to the operating conditions. The generously sized collection hopper ensures a smooth transfer – even with large quantities of firewood – onto the auxiliary conveyor belt.

Mechanical swivelling

The manually swivelling design allows the auxiliary conveyor belt to be fast and precise in its alignment with various discharge points. The belt can be easily positioned above the rotatable swivel base, which is mounted on a rotatable swivel joint – aided by ball-bearing wheels that allow it to be moved effortlessly. A mechanical parking brake on the 6- and 8-metre versions ensures that the selected position remains securely locked in place and prevents the vehicle from moving unintentionally.

Hydraulic, continuously variable tilt adjustment

The tilt of the side conveyor is continuously variable from 22° to 36° using two hydraulic cylinders. Lowering brake valves ensure that the position is reliably locked in place and prevent accidental lowering. The machine is conveniently operated via a control lever fitted to it.

Hydraulic swivelling

The feed conveyor can be swivelled easily using a control lever on the machine – driven by a hydraulic motor which acts on the swivel wheels on one side. This allows for fast adjustment to different discharge positions, without any physical effort or manual adjustment. The hydraulic control system ensures precise and controlled movements, making it ideal for frequent position changes.

Variable tilt adjustment for the optimum ejection height

The tilt of the side conveyor is adjustable in four stages between 22° and 36° using a customer-side lifting tool, and is securely fixed to the supports by means of a locking pin – ensuring flexible adjustment and a reliable hold during operation.

These conveyor belt specialists transport logs fast and safely to their destination – whether using a firewood cleaner (LogFix), a packaging system (PackFix) or for loading into large containers (e.g. shipping containers or trailers). With height adjustment and conveyor belt lengths of up to 8 metres, even tall containers can be filled effortlessly. An extra-wide conveyor frame with a generously sized trough, together with a belt with a width of 550 mm, centrally positioned, ensures a smooth flow of material without jamming. The conveyor belt consists of robust, interchangeable individual segments and is equipped with sturdy metal feed rollers. The swivel function makes it possible to fill several containers one after the other without having to move them. If the wood is temporarily stored in a pile, the swivel function ensures that a particularly large quantity of logs can be stored.

Variable tilt adjustment for the optimum ejection height

The tilt of the side conveyor is adjustable in four stages between 22° and 36° using a customer-side lifting tool, and is securely fixed to the supports by means of a locking pin – ensuring flexible adjustment and a reliable hold during operation.

Fast to set up, easy to move and connect

The wheel mounts are fitted with rotatable bearings to allow the auxiliary conveyor belt to be moved easily – both during installation and when repositioning it in the timber yard. They can be swivelled through 90° and then secured with a bolt. Only this makes it possible to transport the load in the same length as the conveyor.

This makes this drive particularly versatile and flexible in its applications.

Electric drive for all functions

This fully self-contained drive unit means that the side conveyor is independent of the oil supply to the upstream machine. With its integrated electric drive, this model offers an independent and powerful solution for a wide range of applications. The system has its own drive unit, consisting of a hydraulic tank with an oil return filter, an electric motor with an integrated hydraulic pump, and solenoid valves. The built-in motor protection ensures a long service life by protecting against thermal overload. A phase inverter makes it easy to reverse the direction of rotation. A wired remote control with a cable length of 10 metres is included in the scope of delivery for ease of use. This supplies oil to the conveyor belt drive, the swivel function and the tilt adjustment.
