How to keep your workspace tidy

The chips are ejected at a height of 2,200 mm. The ejection tube, which is rotatable with a single turn of the handle, allows for easy and convenient adjustment of the desired ejection direction. The adjustable discharge flap also allows chips to be blown onto a trailer, for example. Is the ejection height too low for you? Simply extend the rotatable chip ejection chute by 350 mm or 500 mm using the optional extension to achieve the desired height and ensure even better handling.

Quickly turns logs into posts

It's as simple as this: The standard tapering device makes it easy to taper the trunk. To do this, place one end of the trunk on the worm shaft. To make it easier to place the material on the table, the feed arm can be raised effortlessly using the foot pedal. The auger causes the trunk to rotate, whilst the toothed mechanism on the feed arm moves it towards the peeling disc. The two feed blades ensure that the trunk glides past the peeling disc, causing it to be peeled automatically as it passes. To achieve the best possible result – depending on the material, bark thickness and blade setting – the optimum feed speed can be set simply by adjusting the feed gauges using a lever. At the start of the peeling process, the trunk is guided and held by hand. The retaining bracket, which is included as standard, ensures gentler handling on rough logs. Once more than half of the trunk has been peeled, switch to the other side and catch the trunk on the opposite side. In the meantime, the extendable wood support guides the trunk for you. Once the peeling process is complete, the end of the trunk can be easily chamfered using the built-in chamfering device. Alternatively, the bevelling and cutting in the middle can also be carried out using the optional circular saw attachment.

Adjustable feed rate for determining material removal

You determine the peeling result: The feed blades can be precisely adjusted using the adjustment lever on the feed arm. Depending on the material, the thickness of the bark and the blade setting, the optimum feed rate is selected in order to determine the amount of material removed (more or less) and to tailor the peeling result to individual requirements. The built-in depth limiters prevent the bit from penetrating too deeply into the trunk and protect the surface from damage. Another advantage: The feed blades are adjustable, can be resharpened and can be easily replaced if necessary. An adjustment gauge is included in the scope of delivery to ensure precise adjustment of the feed gauges and depth stops.

Fast switch from sharpening to automatic peeling process

The standard centring device is impressive for its user-friendly operation: Once the feed arm has been raised, it can be swivelled into position with ease and locked securely to the foot pedal without the need for tools to ensure safety. This handy feature ensures that the trunk can be sharpened effortlessly with minimal effort, which significantly simplifies and speeds up the entire process.

The circular saw attachment for the peelProfi

Use the peelProfi for debarking and trunk sharpening. You can work even more efficiently with the optional circular saw, which is equipped with a saw blade (500 mm in diameter). This allows you to easily split stakes in half and sharpen them. Versatile application with just one device: The type-approved saw is fitted with a V-belt clutch, which allows the saw to be switched off independently of the operation of the peelProfi. Round timber with a diameter of 7 to 24 cm can be processed without any difficulty.

Easily debark and sharpen round timber

Fast and efficient debarking, tapering and cutting of round timber – suitable for log diameters of 7–24 cm (optional 4–20 cm). To perform debarking on the trunk, simply place it on the rotating feed mechanism; the peeling process starts automatically. With a log diameter of 10–15 cm, the peeling capacity is up to 9 running metres per minute. Once more than half of the trunk has been peeled, switch to the other side and catch the trunk on the opposite side. In the meantime, the extendable wood support guides the trunk for you. The two feed blades ensure that the trunk glides past the peeling disc, causing it to be peeled automatically as it passes.

Big on the job, compact for transport

With the standard wood support in place, the trunk continues to be guided evenly along the peeling disc as it moves from the feed side to the discharge side. The wood support can be adjusted to suit the length of the log. It can also be simply slid away for compact transport and space-saving storage.

Robust peeling disc with peeling blades

The robust peeling disc (500 mm in diameter) is equipped with four adjustable peeling blades and two fan blades, which ensure chip ejection. The knives can be adjusted individually to ensure the best possible peeling results. They can be re-sharpened and replaced if necessary, thereby ensuring consistent peeling capacity. A blade adjustment gauge is supplied to check the blade setting.

Simply chamfering the wooden post after the peeling process

A chamfer at the end of the peeled wooden stake reduces splintering whilst driving it into the ground. Once the peeling process has been completed, the trunk can be chamfered on the discharge side using the device. Simply place the trunk on the device, apply pressure to it against the peeling disc and chamfer it by turning it evenly anti-clockwise.

Simply from A to B

Thanks to the solid rubber wheels (diameter 300 mm) and the transport handle, it can be manoeuvred by hand on level ground. Models with a three-point linkage (categories I and II) can be easily transported to the site of operation using a tractor. The wood supports can be slid in or folded away for compact transport and storage.

Do you also process trunks of a long length?

Do you find the length of the trunks too heavy over time? Thanks to the swivelling log rest, the round timber no longer needs to be guided and held by hand during the peeling process. It aligns itself automatically with the peeling disc, ensuring consistent processing and making it easier to work with trunks of various lengths. It can be folded away for compact transport and storage.

Straight to the desired location

Do you also work outside the home and yard? Thanks to the solid Category I and II three-point linkage, the peelProfi can be easily attached to the tractor and transported. On the drive option with tractor PTO shaft and hybrid drive (tractor PTO shaft and electric motor), the three-point linkage is standard, whilst on machines with an electric drive it is available as an optional feature. Solid rubber wheels (diameter 300 mm) and a transport handle are included in the scope of delivery to facilitate easy, manual transport of the machine.

Hour meter

Would you like to hire out your machine, or do you want to keep track of how long it is in use? A suitable hour meter is available for every drive option to enable precise monitoring of the machine’s operating time.

Also designed for curved trunks

Do you have curved, irregularly shaped trunks where automatic peeling does not produce the best results? The solution to this is the support table designed to cover the feed screw. The feed arm can be locked in the raised position. This means that the irregularly shaped trunks can be turned by hand and guided past the peeling disc to be peeled.

The auger on the peelProfi

The two-part auger ensures rotation during automatic peeling without damaging the heartwood. The longer section, with a 12 mm incline, guides the trunk to the peeling disc, whilst the shorter section ensures rotation and is subject to greater wear; however, it can be replaced separately at low cost. For logs with a diameter of less than 7 cm, there is an optional auger with a 10 mm incline, which can also be replaced. Replacement is straightforward and does not require the peeling disc or the belt drive to be removed.

Drive shaft

The drive shaft ensures reliable torque transmission, even where components are moving or misaligned. Perfect for POSCH machines – flexible and robust!
