The SpaltAxt is a tried-and-tested classic for producing firewood. Compact, manoeuvrable and fast to be used, it splits short trunks efficiently and safely with a splitting force of up to 8 tonnes using a two-hand control system. Practical wheels and the three-point linkage ensure maximum mobility and flexible deployment options, so your machine can be where it’s needed in no time at all.

Working efficiently with the SplitAxt

Are you fed up with all the fiddly steps involved in cutting the wood into small enough pieces? With the SplitAxt, you can efficiently manoeuvre the trunk into the desired position – either by moving the two-handed control back and forth or by simply rotating the trunk on the splitting table.

Simple and tool-free splitting stroke adjustment

Unnecessary empty runs when splitting short timber cost time! Work more efficiently by simply adjusting the splitting stroke to the desired log length at a comfortable operating height – without any tools and in a single simple step.

Wooden trays

Two handy tools to help you when using the SplitAxt: Pieces of wood that are to be split again can be conveniently placed on the two standard wood supports. These are located on the left and right of the machine at an ergonomic height and within easy reach. They also serve as a temporary storage area for split firewood, which can then be transported to the storage area. For space-saving storage and easy transport, the wood supports can be attached to the magnets and spring pins at the designated storage points tool-free.

Easy transport by hand

Stay mobile: The large solid rubber wheels (300 mm in diameter) and the standard support wheel ensure excellent stability and allow the SplitAxt to be moved effortlessly on paved surfaces. Another handy feature: The footrest makes it easier to tilt the machine into the transport position.

Compact when stored, powerful when in use

Not much storage space? For space-saving storage and transport, the blade guide tube can be retracted and the wood supports can be attached to the magnets and spring pins at the designated storage positions tool-free.

2-way slotted blade

The splitting blade, which slopes diagonally forwards and has a length of 200 mm, prevents the wood from being subjected to pressure from the operator whilst also reducing the effort required to split the wood.

Two-handed control

The SplitAxt is operated via a safe two-handed control. Technical innovations ensure an efficient cracking process: Integrated metal clamping jaws ensure precise positioning and a secure hold on the material being split to ensure safety. Spring clips prevent the device from sliding towards the operator. In addition, side guards protect against falling timber.

2-way slotted blade

The splitting blade, which slopes diagonally forwards and has a length of 200 mm, prevents the wood from being subjected to pressure from the operator whilst also reducing the effort required to split the wood.

Automatic wood clamping on the SpaltAxt 6

Thanks to the automatic wood clamping, even smaller logs – which would otherwise fall over – can be positioned comfortably and safely beneath the splitting blade and split.

Hydraulic tank

Easy on your wallet and the environment: The specially designed hydraulic tank ensures efficient cooling, and the ratio of tank capacity to surface area has been optimised. This significantly reduces the amount of hydraulic oil required, making the SplitAxt particularly easy to maintain!

Lashing points

To ensure safe transport, the machine is equipped with lashing points that allow it to be securely fastened to the trailer.

Safe loading and unloading

Not to be taken for granted: The integrated lifting points enable safety and effortless loading and unloading using a lifting tool.

Special wedge with rollers

This extendable special blade with rollers saves effort and time! Thanks to its special shape, the wood springs back fast, thereby reducing the splitting stroke required. The rollers reduce the splitting force required and prevent the split wood from becoming jammed during the return stroke.
