The tilting saw is a tried-and-tested classic for the firewood cut, combining traditional technology with modern safety standards. A protective cover prevents access to the saw blade, whilst cut-outs allow a clear view of the cut. The smooth-running, ball-bearing-mounted rocker makes work noticeably easier and is gentle on the back, even during long periods of use. The standard purr saw blade ensures a comfortable and quiet sawing experience.

Thanks to its advanced sound-absorption technology and a specially developed tooth geometry, the purr Widia circular saw blade drastically reduces noise levels during cutting, resulting in a significantly more pleasant working environment. The noise level when idling is now just 72 dB(A), down from 92 dB(A) previously. The PURR circular saw blade stands out for its longer service life compared to conventional coarse-toothed circular saw blades, meaning it remains sharp and effective for longer before it needs to be replaced or resharpened. Simply from A to B

The standard solid rubber wheels, with a diameter of 300 mm, ensure easy transport on level ground. Tilting saws with an electric motor are fitted with practical, extendable transport handles, so that the machine can be lifted and moved just like a chest on wheels. The wheel brake prevents the tilting saw from moving whilst in operation! Machines with tractor PTO shaft and hybrid drive are fitted with a three-point linkage as standard. A transport aid is included in the scope of delivery to ensure that the machine can be manoeuvred easily by hand, even without a three-point linkage. A handy locking mechanism stabilises the rocker during storage and transport, ensuring that the machine can be stowed away to save space.

A robust yet smooth-running rocker

The robust rocker ensures maximum stability, whilst the spring-assisted mechanism and ball bearings make it effortless to use. Thanks to the special rocker shape with retaining nubs, twisting of the log is minimised and the saw blade is prevented from jamming. The built-in log length gauge allows you to cut logs to precise measurements. It’s even easier if you position the logs flush with the left edge for 50 cm or flush with the right edge for 33 cm. The cutting area is equipped with machinable aluminium inserts, which protect the saw blade and can be easily replaced if necessary. The optional hold-down device ensures that the timber is held even more securely in place whilst sawing.

One handle – greater safety

Your safety is our top priority: The standard safety guard, featuring a height-adjustable handle, provides reliable protection against accidental contact with the saw blade. What’s more, the handle rotates as you operate the rocker switch, protecting your palms from friction. The switch function between two operating modes allows you to choose whether the cover remains closed after sawing or opens again automatically thanks to the return springs. If the cover remains closed, the next cut can be made immediately after the log has been fed forward. If the cover opens after the cutting, the log is more easily accessible for feeding through for the next cut. Once the safety cover has been closed, the next cut can be made.

Desired log lengths

Would you like to be able to saw logs of the same length every time, without having to keep an eye on measurement marks? The solution: An adjustable, cushioned longitudinal stop that can be quickly adjusted to between 20 and 34 cm. Once cut, the logs simply slide off the seesaw, ideally onto a conveyor belt or into a sliding bin. This eliminates the need for laborious and time-consuming manual removal. The longitudinal stop is available both as original equipment and as a retrofit for the HS and H models.

Easy maintenance – consistently high performance

The saw blade can be changed fast and easily – the correct tool is supplied with the product. Thanks to the handy central lubrication rail on the machine’s frame, maintenance of the moving parts can be carried out in just a few simple steps, saving time and extending the service life. Furthermore, the V-belts can be easily retensioned to ensure consistent performance and optimum efficiency. This ensures your machine is always in perfect condition and ready for use at any time!

Measurement markings for precise log lengths

To help you cut the log to the correct length whilst sawing, notches at 20, 25 and 33 cm serve as guide marks. To measure a length of 50 cm, simply use the left-hand end of the seesaw as a guide. The right-hand end of the seesaw is 33 cm long.

Tool holder

Where do you store the tools when your machine is on the move? Use the tool holder fitted as standard to secure the necessary accessory equipment for transport.

Our tilting saw has been type-approved and stands out thanks to its robust construction and wide range of drive options. With a cutting diameter of 24 cm and a standard, whisper-quiet PURR circular saw blade (700 mm in diameter), it delivers precise firewood cuts whilst keeping noise levels to a minimum. It can be transported easily – either using the handles integrated into the frame or via the three-point linkage. The saw blade guard with adjustable rip fence prevents accidental contact with the saw blade. The rocker handle is height-adjustable, so you can adjust it to your preferred working height. The ball-bearing rocker ensures effortless handling. The integrated wheel brake ensures that the wheels (diameter 300 mm) remain securely in place during drive with an electric motor.

Tractor drive with PTO shaft

Do you also work outside the home and yard? With the integrated, solid three-point linkage, Cat. With I + II, you can easily transport the machine using your tractor. Thanks to the PTO drive and the optional drive shaft, the tilting saw can be powered directly at the desired location. If the v-belt drive becomes overloaded during operation, it can simply be disengaged using the cut-out device on the machine. At the same time, the integrated brake brings the saw blade to a fast halt to ensure safety and smooth operation. A transport aid is included in the scope of delivery to ensure that the machine can be manoeuvred easily by hand, even without a three-point linkage.

Petrol engine

Thanks to the internal combustion engine, you can work independently and flexibly – without the need for an electricity supply or a tractor with a PTO shaft. This way, you can avoid a tangle of cables and use your machine for sawing anywhere! The petrol engine is connected via V-belts to the solid saw shaft, to which the saw blade is attached. This drive protects the machine from overload, thereby extending its service life. A transport aid is included in the scope of delivery to ensure that the machine can be manoeuvred easily by hand.

When the safety cover is closed, the hold-down device presses into the rocker, thereby holding the timber in place or securing it. This minimises movement of the piece of timber whilst sawing and reduces the risk of the saw blade becoming wedged. If the hold-down device is not required, it can be deactivated fast and easily tool-free. This handy accessory equipment can also be easily retrofitted to older models of the tilting saw without the need for tools.

Do you also work outside the home and yard? Thanks to the solid Category I and II three-point linkage, the tilting saw can be easily attached to the tractor and transported. On models powered by a tractor PTO shaft, the three-point linkage is fitted as standard, whilst on electrically powered machines it is available as an optional feature. A handy transport aid is included as standard to facilitate easy, manual transport of the machine. Another plus point: Retrofitting the three-point linkage is possible on older tilting saw models.

Optimised operation with a generator: Motor protection switch with star-delta start

Would you like to run your machine using a generator? Machines with a drive power of up to 5.5 kW are fitted as standard with a motor protection switch and direct start. With the optional motor protection switch and star-delta start (special equipment ‘Y’), the starting current is reduced, which makes operation with a generator much easier.

For XXL logs

With the tilting extension (F0003779), you can also secure log lengths up to 200 cm safely and comfortably for sawing. The wood can be easily moved to the next cut using the rollers. When the tilting extension isn’t in use, it can be stored in the parking position – safely stowed away but always within easy reach!

The hip-bend trick

Would you like to take the strain off your arms and achieve elevation in comfort during work? The optional hip roll enables an alternative, ergonomic and fatigue-free way of operating the saw rocker. This gentle support ensures that you have to exert less effort during shifts of longer length, allowing you to work more efficiently and comfortably.

For a clean work station

The chip extraction connection on the circular saw allows you to connect it easily to a chip extraction fan. To this end, the chip extraction connection is attached to the machine to ensure a clean and virtually dust-free working environment.

Hour meter

Would you like to rent out your machine or keep an eye on the operating time? A suitable operating hours counter is available for each drive variant, allowing you to read off the exact machine running time.

Drive shaft
