Data protection Statement

Contact forms

You can contact us on the pages “Catalogue request”, “Careers” and under the buttons “Contact”, “Product enquiry” and “Request product advice”. Personal data will be stored, processed and used to the extent you have made available. This takes place for the purpose of sending the desired catalogues, for the processing of your application or your product enquiry.

Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent! This does not apply to its forwarding to Posch service partners that we require to process your inquiry (e.g. postal dispatch of a requested catalogue). There will be no separate notification of storage or transmission. The scope of data transmission is limited to the lowest possible minimum.

Google Analytics

To increase the efficiency of our website, we use the services of a web analysis service offered by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so called “Cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow for an analysis of your use of our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In order to protect users’ interests in the protection of their personal data, this is done by anonymising the data. Your IP address is already transmitted to Google in an unrecognisable (=anonymised) form.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can find further information related to this in our Site notice.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

This website also uses cookies with the purpose of addressing visitors via remarketing campaigns with online advertising at a later point in time in the Google advertising network. Third parties such as Google use cookies to place remarketing ads based on a visit to our website. As a user, you have the option of deactivating Google’s use of cookies by visiting this page to deactivate Google at www.google.com/ads/preferences.

The following data is collected during the registration process:

  1. The encrypted IP address of the user
  2. Date and time of access
  3. Page access frequency
  4. Use of website functions
  5. The user’s operating system
  6. The user’s Internet service provider
  7. Date and time of access
  8. Websites from which the user’s system reaches our website
  9. Websites accessed by the user’s system through our website
  10. Used operating systems of end devices
  11. Age, gender, languages, interests, country of origin

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Use of Google’s remarketing or “similar target group” function

We use the remarketing or “similar target group” function of Google Inc. “(“Google”). This feature allows us to target visitors to the site with advertising by delivering personalised, interest-based ads to visitors to the site when they visit other sites on the Google Display Network. Google uses cookies to analyse website usage, which forms the basis for creating interest-based advertisements. Google stores a small file with a sequence of numbers in the browsers of visitors to the website. This number is used to record visits to the website and anonymised data on the use of the website. No personal data of visitors to the website is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will see ads that are highly likely to include previously accessed product and information areas. You can permanently deactivate the use of cookies by Google by following the following link and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies by third parties by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page at http://optout.networkadvertising.org/ and implement the additional information on the opt-out mentioned there. For more information about Google Remarketing and Google’s data protection policy, please visit: http://www.google.com/protection/ads/.

MailChimp

Our e-mail newsletter informs you about new products, changes to standards, trends in firewood processing and product information. You can subscribe to our newsletter via the menu item Newsletter-Subscribe or the link Partner-NewsMail. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide and your confirmation will subscribe you to the newsletter.

With the following information we inform you about the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, mailing and statistical evaluation procedure and your rights of objection. By subscribing to our newsletter you agree to the receipt and the described procedures.

Newsletter content: We only send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications containing advertising information (hereinafter referred to as “newsletters”) with the consent of the recipients or a legal permission. If the contents of a newsletter are specifically described within the scope of a registration, they are decisive for the consent of the users. In addition, our newsletters contain information about the latest news in the firewood processing industry, especially about new products – or changes from our company, new videos, safety standards changes, events such as trade fairs.

Subscription data: To subscribe to the newsletter, it is sufficient to give your e-mail address. Optionally we ask you to provide your first and last name, as well as your area of business and your country. We only use this information to adapt the contents of the newsletter to the interests of our readers. For catalogue enquiries that are to be sent by mail, we also ask you to provide your mailing address (this is not necessary if you wish to receive the catalogue by e-mail). Since our sales area is divided geographically among area representatives, the postal code (ZIP CODE) or geographical indication is required in the case of a product enquiry. This will of course be treated confidentially and only passed on to our partner at the respective location in the event of a business relationship (see point “Contact form”).

Double-Opt-In and logging: The subscription to our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after subscribing you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your subscription. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can log in with other e-mail addresses.

Subscriptions to the newsletter are logged in order to be able to document the subscription process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes the storage of the login and confirmation time, as well as the IP address. Also the changes of your data stored with MailChimp are logged.

Use of the mailing service provider “MailChimp”: Newsletters are sent via “MailChimp“, a newsletter sending platform offered by US supplier Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as other data described in this notice, are stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information for sending and evaluating the newsletter on our behalf. Furthermore, MailChimp may use this data according to their own information to optimise or improve their own services, e.g. to technically optimise the mailing and presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes, in order to determine from which countries the recipients come. MailChimp will, however, not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them or pass them on to third parties.

We trust in the reliability and IT and data security of MailChimp. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and thus undertakes to comply with EU data protection regulations. We have furthermore signed a “Data Processing Agreement“ with MailChimp. This is a contract in which MailChimp undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process them on our behalf in accordance with their data protection regulations and in particular not to pass them on to third parties. You can view MailChimp’s data protection policy at here.

Statistical surveys and analyses: The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are initially collected. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times. The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and what links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our aim, nor that of MailChimp, to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognise the reading habits of our users and to adapt our contents to them or to send different contents according to the interests of our users.

Online access and data management: There are cases in which we redirect the newsletter recipients to the websites of MailChimp. For example, our newsletters contain a link with which the newsletter recipients can retrieve the newsletters online (e.g. in case of display problems in various e-mail programmes). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can subsequently correct their data, e.g. the e-mail address. Also, MailChimp’s data protection statement is only available on their site Privacy Policy. In this context, we would like to point out that cookies are used on MailChimp’s websites and that personal data is processed by their partners and service providers (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. For more information, see MailChimp’s Privacy Policy . We also draw your attention to the possibilities of objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European area).

Cancellation/Revocation: You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. This simultaneously revokes your consent to its mailing via MailChimp and the statistic analysis. Separate revocation of mailing via MailChimp or the statistic evaluation is not possible. You can find a link to cancel the newsletter subscription at the end of each newsletter. POSCH Gesellschaft m.b.H. must receive the cancellation for it to become effective. There are no other costs for this than the transmission costs. You will find the contact details for unsubscribing in the legal notice. Your e-mail address will be deleted when you unsubscribe.

Legal bases General Data Protection Regulation: In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) valid from 25 May 2018, we inform you that your consents to the sending of e-mail addresses are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, 7 GDPR and § 7 para. 2 no. 3 and para. 3 UWG. The use of the shipping service provider MailChimp, carrying out statistical surveys and analyses as well as logging of the registration procedure, are based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We aim to use a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves both our business interests and the expectations of users.

We would also like to point out that you can object to the future processing of your personal data at any time in accordance with the statutory provisions of Art. 21 GDPR. The objection may be lodged in particular against processing for direct marketing purposes.
